We are excited to report that Aleisha Scott, reporter at the BBC, interviewed us during Maternal Mental Health Week about Bump to Cradle and specifically our experience with mental health.

The pandemic has created changes to labour and birth which has increased stress and anxiety, causing many expectant parents to feel isolated. We think mental health and emotional wellbeing should be an integral part of any antenatal courses.

Bump to Cradle will be working with Sasha Barber, the mental health lead at Southmead Maternity North Bristol NHS Trust to explore tools and techniques to support expectant parents’ mental health and emotional well-being.

We are thrilled to welcome Sasha as her background as a mental health nurse, a practice teacher and mental health lead, will bring a wealth of expertise to our team.
